To help keep the picture sharp, this camera also have an opitcal image stabilizer so camera movement doesn't automatically mean a blurry picture!

Low Light Doesn't Mean Dark Pictures
Usually a little point and shoot camera has trouble with getting good pictures in low light situations. However, the Canon's HS SYSTEM works to deliver clear, blur-free shots even in low light while keeping detail in both the shadow and highlight areas. Shots in low light levels are possible even when using high ISO speeds or at low speeds.
This is made possible by the combination of the 2.1 Megapixel CMOS Sensor which places the surface that recieves light is the best possisble position and the DIGIC 4 Image Processor which works to reduce noise and helps with high speed image processing.
The LCD screen is 2.7-inches wide.

I also wanted a camera that could shoot good looking videos. I researched several models and after much deliberation decided on the Canon 300 HS. I'm very happy I did.
---This is a great little unit and we have been fans of the elph line for a while. However, the lens cover has failed twice on this camera!
--- Most Canon cameras (I am a Canon loyalist) take great shots. But what most impresses me about this camera are its low-light capabilities. It obviously can not match the image quality of a DSLR, but for a P&S, I was impressed!
